Seal of the Taraba State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission TSPCACC Taraba State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission

How to report

There are two ways to bring a matter to the Commission. Which one you want depends on whether you need an answer, or need to stay unknown.

With your name

Make a complaint

Use this when a public office or officer has treated you badly and you want something done about it.

You give
Your name and a way to contact you.
You get
A reference and an access code, immediately.
You can
Follow the case and receive a written outcome.
The Commission can
Write back, ask you questions, and tell you what it found.

For example: a licence you have waited months for, a fee demanded that should not have been, a decision made against you without reason.

Make a complaint

Without your name

Report anonymously

Use this when you have seen corruption and it would not be safe, or you would not wish, to be known as the person who said so.

You give
No name, no email, no telephone number.
You get
A code and a passphrase. They are shown once.
You can
Return with them to read replies and add more.
The Commission can
Only reach you if you come back. It cannot write to you.

For example: contracts awarded to a relative, money that has gone missing, a colleague being paid to look away.

Report anonymously

If you are not sure

Give your name. A complaint with a name behind it can be answered, followed up and put right; an anonymous report often cannot, because there is nobody to go back to for the detail that would prove it.

Use the anonymous route when being known would put you at risk. That is what it is for, and it is worth using properly when it applies. It is not the safer choice by default; it is the choice that costs you an answer.

Either way, the Commission charges nothing, and you do not need a lawyer.
